Pat on The Back Awards
Award Information
The Windsor Essex County Environment Committee is excited to again contribute funding towards local, community based projects occurring in Windsor and Essex County. Up to $1,000 awards will be given to successful "Pat on the Back" applicant organizations.
Examples of eligible projects include, but are not limited to: school greening, re-use, recycling or composting, clean up events, environmental education or advocacy, conservation efforts, environmental art, and native plant or community gardens.
All submissions will be evaluated before award winners are selected. A written application form is to be completed and submitted by midnight on Friday November 26th 2021 to emp@citywindsor.ca. All written submissions will be scored by a judging panel.
Applicants may be contacted by phone or email to answer questions about their project. All applicants will be contacted by December 10th and will be told if they will be receiving a Pat on the Back Award.
If successful, applicants may be asked to prepare a poster of their project for display at the WECEC booth at the Windsor Essex Earth Day celebration.
